de Risk Partners — the Swiss and US-based Compliance-as-a-Service organization led by veterans of the world’s largest banks — has vetted the DossiersOS platform, judged it best in class, and is now taking it into client banks and finance companies alongside its Sri Lankan partner, Ascent.

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — Dossiers, the Sri Lankan technology company behind the DossiersOS fraud prevention and anti-money laundering platform, has entered a strategic partnership with de Risk Partners, a Swiss and US-based Compliance-as-a-Service organization whose leadership has run compliance programmes inside some of the world’s largest banks. de Risk Partners has independently reviewed DossiersOS and identified it as best in class relative to comparable global solutions.

Crucially for local institutions, the two firms now go to market together, Dossiers’ technology combined with de Risk Partners’ consulting expertise, delivered in Sri Lanka through its local partner Ascent, giving banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) to a single solution that combines proven compliance technology with world-class implementation expertise.

The timing is sharp. Sri Lanka is undergoing its third mutual evaluation by the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) in 2026, under the FATF’s revised methodology, which weighs how effective a bank’s controls actually are in practice, not merely whether policies exist on paper. Dossiers and de Risk Partners have already begun pitching jointly for compliance-technology tenders in the local market.

Why de Risk Partners backed the platform
Two capabilities stood out. The first is the way Dossiers builds one of the hardest datasets in financial crime, a structured picture of politically exposed persons (PEPs) and high-risk individuals, including figures who appear on no watchlist but are widely known to be dangerous, such as organised-crime and underworld actors, assembled from publicly available information, purpose-built for this region. Ravi De Silva, CEO of deRisk Partners, described Dossiers screening capabilities as follows;

“In a career supervising and building compliance programmes at JP Morgan, American Express and Citi Group, the single hardest dataset to assemble has always been the data on who is a PEP and who is a known high-risk actor, not a name on a sanctions list, but a figure the market knows to be dangerous. Dossiers is building exactly that, from public information, for this region. I have not seen another product approach it this way, and I expect every bank and NBFI in Sri Lanka to want access to it.”

The second capability that stood out to deRisk is Dossier’s transaction-monitoring engine, which screens customer activity for fraud and money laundering as it happens.

Their transaction monitoring will be central to any local bank or finance company serious about catching fraud and money laundering and unlike the global tools we know, DossiersOS is priced for this market and flexible enough to build around each institution. That combination is rare, and it is why we are comfortable putting it in front of our clients.

One partner for the technology and the expertise
The partnership’s core promise to Sri Lankan institutions is a complete solution. Banks and NBFIs deploying financial-crime technology increasingly need two things at once: the platform itself and the specialist expertise to identify risk correctly and implement the right controls against it. Through de Risk Partners, Dossiers now delivers both under one roof — best-in-class technology backed by consultants with deep, hands-on compliance experience from major global banks. de Risk Partners leads the advisory side of the engagement, financial-crime risk assessment, control design, model tuning and ongoing managed compliance operations, so institutions deploy DossiersOS to international regulatory standards, not just install it.

Having de Risk Partners vouch for what we have built, after stress-testing it against the global platforms they know from the inside, is the strongest validation we could have asked for. But the bigger news for Sri Lankan banks is what we can now offer together: not just software, but the technology and the consulting to deploy it properly as a single complete solution. That is exactly what institutions are asking for as the FATF evaluation raises the bar.
