Samsung Sri Lanka has been recognised at Superbrands Sri Lanka’s Choice 2025 in the Home Appliance category, marking a significant milestone for a brand that has built a strong presence in Sri Lankan homes through innovation, quality and consumer trust.

The recognition reflects the relationship Samsung has built with consumers over the years and its continued focus on technology that brings practical value to everyday life. From home appliances and televisions to connected devices, Samsung has continued to evolve its products around changing lifestyles and needs.
The Superbrands programme recognises brands that have established strong reputations and lasting connections with consumers. Its selection process includes market research, consumer insights and evaluation by an independent panel of branding and business professionals, making the recognition a reflection of both brand strength and consumer preference.

For Samsung, Superbrands Sri Lanka’s Choice 2025 represents more than an accolade. It is a recognition of the trust consumers place in the brand and the role Samsung technology plays in their homes.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. SangHwa Song, Managing Director, Samsung Sri Lanka, said, “Receiving the Superbrand recognition is truly a proud moment for Samsung. For us, this award is much more than a title. It reflects the trust, loyalty, and connection we have built with consumers over the years. That is something we deeply value.”

He further stated, “At Samsung, we have always believed that innovation should make people’s lives better, simpler, and more meaningful. Whether it’s through our TVs, mobile devices, home appliances, or connected ecosystem, our focus has always been on delivering technology that people genuinely love and rely on every day. What makes this recognition even more special is that it comes from the people. It reflects how consumers see Samsung as a brand that continues to evolve with their lifestyles and needs. This achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support of our customers, partners, and our dedicated teams who work passionately behind the scenes every single day. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has been part of this journey.”

Samsung continues to strengthen its Home Appliance portfolio with products designed for modern households. Refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and other home solutions combine useful features with technology designed to make everyday tasks easier.

Connected living is also becoming an important part of the Samsung experience. Through SmartThings, compatible appliances, televisions and smart devices can be connected and managed through one platform. Consumers can monitor their devices, control them remotely and automate parts of their daily routines, bringing greater convenience to the home.

Alongside innovation, Samsung places strong emphasis on reliability. Its 10-year warranty on Digital Inverter Motors and Compressors reflects the company’s confidence in the durability and long-term performance of its home appliances, while giving consumers greater peace of mind when making an investment in their homes.

“As we move forward, this recognition motivates us even more to continue pushing boundaries through innovation and delivering smarter, more connected experiences for consumers. At Samsung, we are not just creating technology for today, we are shaping the future of how people live, work, and connect,” continued Mr. Song.

The recognition comes as Samsung continues to build its wider consumer electronics presence in Sri Lanka. Globally, Samsung has retained its position as the No. 1 TV manufacturer for 20 consecutive years, with Sri Lankan consumers able to access its latest Crystal UHD, Neo QLED, and the Frame TV ranges.

Samsung’s commitment to consumers also extends beyond its products. Its extensive retail and service network, including leading partners such as Singer, Singhagiri, Damro and Softlogic, helps provide consumers across the country with access to Samsung products and after-sales support.

Flexible payment plans offered through partnerships with leading banks further help make Samsung’s latest technology accessible to more Sri Lankan consumers. This combination of global innovation, local availability and ongoing support has helped the brand remain closely connected to the market.

The recognition was also marked at the Superbrands Tribute Ceremony, where Samsung Sri Lanka’s leadership, including its Managing Director and Head of Consumer Electronics, joined other leading brands and business leaders to celebrate the achievement.

For Samsung Sri Lanka, Superbrands Sri Lanka’s Choice 2025 is both a celebration of the trust built with consumers and a motivation to keep moving forward. As technology becomes more closely connected to everyday life, Samsung remains committed to creating products and experiences that make a meaningful difference, while continuing to deliver the quality and innovation consumers have come to expect from the brand.
