Samsung Sri Lanka introduced a new range of home appliances to the local market on 1st March 2026, reinforcing its focus on energy efficiency, smart technology, and everyday practicality. The launch included two stylish Double Door Inverter No Frost Refrigerators and one Twin Inverter Air Conditioner, aimed at meeting the evolving needs of modern Sri Lankan households.

The new refrigerator models were designed to deliver consistent cooling performance while offering convenient features suited to daily use. Both models were powered by Samsung’s Digital Inverter Technology, which adjusts cooling power according to demand, helping reduce energy consumption and support long-term reliability. No Frost technology eliminated ice build-up, while All Round Cooling ensured even temperature distribution across every compartment.

The RT40H28WNQIG model, with a capacity of 253 litres, was positioned for small to medium-sized families. It featured an Easy Slide Shelf for improved accessibility and a Twist Ice Maker that allowed users to create and store ice with minimal effort. The model was priced at a maximum retail price of LKR 159,999.
For households requiring additional storage, the RT40H30WNPIG model offered a larger 275-litre capacity. In addition to the same core cooling technologies, the model provided enhanced space management while maintaining a sleek, contemporary design. Its maximum retail price was set at LKR 189,999.

Alongside refrigeration, Samsung Sri Lanka also expanded its residential air conditioning portfolio with the launch of the AR50H12D1JH/IG Twin Inverter Air Conditioner, rated at 12,000 BTU. The unit was designed to deliver powerful and efficient cooling, using Twin Inverter Technology to achieve faster temperature control while minimizing energy usage.

The new air conditioner integrated Wi-Fi connectivity through Samsung SmartThings, enabling users to control and monitor cooling remotely via a smartphone. The inclusion of AI Energy Mode helped optimize power consumption based on usage patterns, while a 100 percent copper condenser and DuraFin Ultra Technology were engineered to enhance durability and corrosion resistance. The model was priced at a maximum retail price of LKR 209,999.

Commenting on the launch, Samsung Sri Lanka stated that the new lineup reflected the company’s continued commitment to innovation that improves everyday living. Samsung Consumer Electronics has built a strong presence in Sri Lanka by focusing on technologies that combine performance, efficiency, and user convenience, while maintaining design standards suited to contemporary homes.

Globally, Samsung Consumer Electronics is recognised for advancing connected and energy-conscious home solutions, with a strong emphasis on intuitive design and smart integration. Locally, the brand has continued to adapt these innovations to suit the lifestyle, climate, and usage patterns of Sri Lankan consumers across categories such as refrigeration, air conditioning, and other home appliances.

The newly launched models became available island-wide through Samsung’s authorised distributor network, including Singer, Singhagiri, Damro, and Softlogic. To make the products more accessible, customers were also able to take advantage of easy payment schemes and 0 percent interest-free credit card installment plans available through participating retailers and banks across the country.

With this launch, Samsung Sri Lanka aimed to offer consumers reliable, energy-efficient, and smart home appliances that align with modern living while addressing practical everyday needs.
